We have acquired a deed and demolition has already begun on the vacant/dilapidated structure at 301 e 4th St. The city is always working to improve our town.

The city has acquired a deed to the property at 1001 e Clark. Look for this building to be demolished in the near future. This is yet another complaint the city has been working on.

Water bills for all West Frankfort water customers went out today 7/31/24. All water bills are due on the 15th of each month. With the state of the mail, we continue to urge customers to sign up for emailed billing. You do not have to pay through online bill pay, but the email will allow you to see the amount of your water bill before it reaches you through the mail.
You can always pay your water bill by visiting us at the Water Department Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm, after hours by using our drop box located outside of City Hall in the second drive-up lane or 24hours through the Online Bill Pay option located at www.westfrankfort-il.com.

Franklin County Treasurer Steve Vercellino has announced Real Estate Taxes will be mailed out on July 31st.
Due Dates ~ 1st payment due September 6th, 2024
2nd payment due October 18th, 2024.

SOLAR SOLICITORS ARE NOT ALLOWED in West Frankfort ~ FINES ARE BEING ISSUED TO THOSE SOLICITING WITHOUT A PERMIT!!
Please call City Hall at 618-937-4512 and report if you see or have any solar solicitors come to your house during the day. If they come in the evenings please continue to contact the Police at the Non Emergency number at 618-937-3502 .

ATTENTION WATERFOWLERS:
The City of West Frankfort will be offering a chance to be able to obtain a lottery duck blind at the Old City Lake. To be eligible for the drawing you must be a current West Frankfort City water customer.
A meeting and drawing will be held on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at 6:00pm at Guy's Rec Center located at 1604 Old Marion Rd in West Frankfort.
You will need to pre-register by giving your name and address to one of the waterfowl committee members if you wish to draw for a blind.
You must be present at the meeting to participate in the lottery drawing.
Other rules and regulations may apply.

1200-800 block of E Elm will be blocked off from 7am to 3pm today July 22nd till further notice. Street Dept will be crack sealing roads in this area. Thanks for your continued patience.

The water situation at the West Frankfort Mall has been mitigated. The odor had dissipated greatly and there is no current health risk. The mall is once again open to the general public. Thank you for your patience.

HELP WANTED- The Beautification Group is looking for a Part-time person to water flowers in the downtown area.
They are looking for someone who can work 7-8 hours in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (sometimes filling in extra days).
