The Frankfort Area Genealogical Society is located in the Frankfort Area Historical Museum, a renovated three story Logan Grade School. The society features a large research library that includes records of cemeteries, birth records, land, marriages, biographies and more. They also maintain a microfilm of U.S. Census and local newspapers.
The members have researched and produced several books covering many topics from pioneer settlements to cemetery guides, which are available for purchase.
The Genealogy Library is open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Knowledgeable members are usually available to answer questions or to assist you in your research.
