The West Frankfort Police Department is open as a warming center. If you or someone you know needs a safe, warm place to get out of the weather, please visit or call for assistance.
2. City Hall Closure:
City Hall is closed due to hazardous conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
3. Public Works:
Our dedicated Public Works team is working tirelessly to clear roads and address safety concerns. Please exercise patience and avoid unnecessary travel to allow them to do their jobs effectively.
4. Safety Tips for Residents:
* Stay off the roads if possible. If you must travel, drive slowly and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle.
* Prevent frozen pipes: Let faucets drip and keep cabinet doors open to warm pipes.
* Check on neighbors: Especially the elderly or those with limited mobility.
* Stay informed: Monitor weather updates and follow our page for any new announcements.
* Report issues: For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergency assistance, contact the appropriate city department.

The West Frankfort City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 6, due to inclement weather. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
With the upcoming winter storm approaching the Street Department will be scheduled to be out spreading salt Sunday, January 5th. Please stay home if possible and park vehicles off roadway to make room for them to work safely in these upcoming days. Thank you and stay safe.
Trash Services will not run Wednesday, January 1st. Residents with Wednesday pickup will be picked up on Thursday, January 2nd.
